From Vision to Surface: Materials & Finishes
White Square Group assisted a new homeowner in San Ramon with selecting and coordinating vendors for finishes and materials to remodel their recently purchased home.
We began the process with an initial meeting, during which we captured photos and videos of the property. This allowed us to gain a clear understanding of the space and align with the client’s vision for their remodel.
Client Requirements:

Our clients needed a complete interior transformation — from selecting paint colors for the walls to choosing new flooring, tiles, and fixtures.
The property features a Southern style, and the clients wished to maintain this character while incorporating modern elements throughout the home. They preferred a calm and cohesive color palette that feels timeless and won’t quickly go out of style.

Our Process and Solution:

Vendor Selection: We began by creating a list of vendors that aligned with the client's budget. For each piece of furniture, we selected multiple options from these vendors and crafted mood boards for each room to provide the client with a clear visual representation of the potential design.
Living Room: Taking into account the size and location of the living room, we opted for a long sofa paired with two accent chairs to create a formal yet comfortable atmosphere. A large coffee table was added to align the space with the fireplace, providing both an elegant focal point and enough room for entertaining guests and allowing the children to play.

Primary Bedroom: To meet the client's needs, we divided the primary bedroom into three distinct areas. One area is dedicated to the bed, fulfilling the room's primary purpose. We also designated a corner for a medium-sized desk for daily work tasks and created a cozy nook with a recliner chair for relaxation.

Guest Bedrooms: Given the client's desire for multifunctional spaces, we chose Murphy beds for both guest bedrooms. This decision maximizes the functionality of the rooms, allowing them to serve as a home gym and play area when not accommodating guests.
Color Palette and Materials:
We selected an earthy tone color palette, incorporating wood and natural linen fabrics to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Considering the client's two children and a dog, we recommended materials that are easy to clean and durable, ensuring the space remains both beautiful and practical.
